DWM Successfully Resolves Emergency Frozen Pipe Issue

Kristen Berge, Facility Solutions Coordinator at DWM, demonstrated exceptional responsiveness and expertise during a recent emergency service call at the Barnes & Noble café. On December 23, 2024, the café reported a critical issue: a frozen pipe was preventing water flow to essential espresso machines and the filtered water faucet, threatening operations during the peak holiday season.

DWM’s technician arrived on-site within three hours of the initial request and efficiently resolved the issue by warming the frozen pipes. The technician remained on-site to ensure that all machines were functioning properly, allowing the café to continue serving customers without significant disruption. The total time taken from the request to completion was just 3 hours and 10 minutes.

“The swift resolution was crucial, especially during the busiest time of the year for Barnes & Noble,” said Kristen Berge, the project lead. “Our team understands the urgency of these situations, and we pride ourselves on our ability to respond quickly and effectively.”

“This quick turn-around not only minimized downtime for the café but also showcased DWM’s commitment to excellence in customer service,” added Berge. The café’s area manager expressed gratitude for the rapid response, thanking the DWM team for their exceptional service, especially during the holiday season when demand is at its highest.
